Everyday training made fun! Our dogs are spirited and curious – in our search and rescue dog course, we offer them the opportunity to get physical and mental exercise and channel their excess energy constructively. In six sessions, you'll playfully experience the development of a search and rescue dog – tailored to your dog's daily routine and age – and create a deep, communicative bond. Both you and your dog will benefit from this training. Fun and games foster teamwork and optimal communication. The course offers holistic mental and physical stimulation, increases frustration tolerance, and trains your dog's impulse control. Shared successes further strengthen your relationship and promote orientation and bonding. This course is not only suitable for spirited dogs but also for those who are insecure. The search games, successes, and teamwork boost your dog's confidence and provide plenty of enjoyment. Course Content: Unit 1: - Building communication and play/reinforcement between human and dog - Searching for their owner Unit 2: - Bonding exercises - Searching for a stranger - Recall Unit 3: - Developing indication behavior - Establishing a safe position - Safe position + searching = frustration tolerance Unit 4: - Searching off-leash Unit 5: - Searching off-leash - Exercises to build frustration tolerance before searching Unit 6: - Simulating what has been learned - Possibly simultaneous work/searching on the training field, both on and off-leash Everyday training: - Mental and physical stimulation - Nonverbal communication between dog and human - Frustration tolerance and impulse control - Safe position, waiting, staying - Recall training - Working off-leash - Working with other dogs You should always have the following with you: - Collar and harness - A light lead or training lead (max. 2 m) - 2 identical favorite toys - Treats Closed, progressive course of 6 sessions of 60 minutes each. There will be no classes on March 8th, as we are holding a seminar that weekend.
