A circle, a dog, a person – that's all it takes to learn the art of body language and nonverbal communication. Longeing... but what exactly is that? In this course, you'll learn the art of longeing to strengthen your bond with your dog and improve communication. Longeing agility is an effective way to incorporate movement, focus, and fun into your training. Course Content: - Introduction to Longeing - First Steps: The dog learns to run in a circle and follow the handler, giving cues and rewards - Learning cues to control the dog - Positive Reinforcement: Reward techniques during longeing - Practical Applications: Motivating and keeping the dog focused - Basic Signals and Body Language - The importance of body language and nonverbal signals - Practical exercises for synchronizing movement and signals - Introduction of basic signals (opening movement, stand, change of direction, sending out) during longeing - Structured Longeing: Exercises for controlling speed and distance - Learning agility elements and incorporating them into longeing - Learning further agility elements - Combining several agility elements on the longeing circle - Creativity in Longeing - Introduction of further exercises during longeing - Session - Review and reinforcement of the learned content Course Goal: Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to longe independently with their dog and the Apply the techniques you've learned. The main goal is to improve the bond and communication between you and your dog. Course duration: 6 sessions of 60 minutes each Minimum age of dog: 12 months Number of participants: Maximum 4 human-dog teams What you should always have with you: - Large, visible treats, e.g., marrow biscuits - Or a food dummy, toy, or similar for retrieving We look forward to seeing you!
